Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP – Conversion Guidelines

When dealing with conversion make sure to get these things cleared

  1. Source Data Format
  2. Transformation Logic
  3. Cross Reference
  4. Third Party tools (make sure you use mention, as there is a chance of license issue/client disliking)
  5. Who will do what (who provides extract – client/implementation team, who provides the transformation logic, which team in the business deals about specific module etc)
  6. Data size
  7. Sequence of entities to be load (Like Suppliers, Customers to be load before Purchase Orders etc)
  8. Timelines of load based on the previous loads in DEV, UAT etc
  9. Instance Strategy – when do you require the clone of GOLD, PROD etc
  10. Reconciliation Reports
  11. Sign off – Who from client team will give a sign off to PROD

For Team – who performs loading of data

  1. Get the approach of loading – as it may differ based on the entity you are working on (FBL, HDL, FBDI, ADFDi, ADFBC, WebServices)
  2. Roles Required to perform load
  3. Details of the Import Job and Process
  4. Import Job Details, Interface Tables, Error Tables, Base Tables
  5. Error logs, Import Reports
  6. Recon Reports (Provides the details  of data loaded, so that records can be validate with Source Team vs Target System)
  7. Extract Reports
  8. Prepare the queries to validate the data load time, error message details, validation queries (to be performed before actually invoking the import, so you can correct the data and reload , rather than waiting for the import job to fail)
