How to gear up into the Oracle Cloud ERP

Cloud Computing : There are three main service models of cloud computing – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)

Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP – Comes under the SaaS Model – in which the Software and Hardware are taken care by the Vendor (Oracle) – and access is provided on Subscription based.

Oracle Cloud ERP has two types of Job Roles – Functional Consultant and Technical Consultant

Functional Consultant : Responsible for Configuring the ERP according to the client business model, providing the business process flow as per client requirement, designing the functional/requirement document, perform the functional testing/integration testing.

Technical Consultant : Responsible for designing technical components like : BI Reports, OTBI Reports, FRS Reports, VBCS Pages Design, ICS Integrations, APEX Pages/Reports, SQL/PLSQL Program Design, Migration of technical components from instance to other.

Within Oracle SaaS – the only new technical components which can be designed are : BI , OTBI, FRS or Smartview Reports , Application Composer Pages and Custom ESS Job creation.

If there is any need to design custom table/ pages – with in Oracle SaaS there is no scope, the solution for this is to have Oracle PaaS Solutions respectively
